Conditions of Hire
| Ordering | All orders must be in writing clearly stating customer's name and address, and premises where the hire equipment will be used. Confirmation of receipt of order will be confirmed. On collection, Hirer must produce positive evidence of identity e.g. passport/driving licence, etc. |
| Delivery | All goods to be collected and returned by the customer to our ILKLEY stores, unless otherwise agreed. Where dispatch is undertaken by ourselves, carriage is chargeable extra and shall be via our Carriers or our own transport, subject to operating conditions of the Carrier. We will not be responsible for the consequences of late or non-delivery. |
| Packing | Suitable packing is provided by us where necessary and should be used for returning the goods, otherwise it will be charged for. |
| Charges | Hire charges are based on a period of one week from the date of collection and are payable in advance whether the goods are in use or not. Charges are stricly nett, payable with order when the order value is under £50 (Fifty pounds). |
| Note | Suitable time allowance must be made for the clearance of any cheques issued as payment for hire material. In addition, please note for all new accounts a deposit must be be left for the goods hired of £100 minimum. This will not apply where SPOT-ON provide an operator to work the equipment for the customer. |
| Lamps | We will be responsible for lamps subject to normal electrical failure but not for any form of mechanical damage. Lamps found faulty from any cause must be returned to us for inspection, otherwise they will be charged for in full. Spare lamps are provided with each hire order. |
| Insurance | It is the Hirer's responsibility for insuring all equipment against All Risks to the full replacement value. In the event of a claim, the Hirer must ensure that no admission or compromise is given without our consent. |
| Damage | Any damage caused in transit or shortage should be reported to the carrier and ourselves within 48 hours and any packing preserved for inspection. Failure to notify means additional charges. Other damage caused during the period of hire or any deficiences on return wil be charged for. This includes the cutting of cables, leads and for refitting of plug tops. |
| Substitution | Whilst every endeavour will be made to supply equipment exactly as ordered, we reserve the right to substitute other apparatus if unavoidable. |
